Production-made helmet ear cover that was part of a helmet worn by Captain America, actor Chris Evans, in the 2011 Marvel film Captain America: The First Avenger. In 1942 Steve Rogers becomes a part of an experiment to create ‘super soldiers’ that will aid the Allies in World War II. Frail Steve Rogers is given the Super Soldier serum that gives him extraordinary size, strength, and abilities. This helmet ear cover was part of the helmet from his second uniform in the film after he proves himself capable by rescuing POWs held prisoner behind enemy lines. The ear cover is made of brown leather panels, is weathered with black paint, and has metal stud and eyelet details. It also has black, blue, and red coiled wires passing through areas of the cover. The cover measures approximately 7.5 x 4.5 inches. The ear cover comes sealed inside a black display frame featuring images of Captain America and the logo from the film. The frame measures approximately 16.5 x 19 x 1 inches.
