Hercules (2014) – VFX Bone Whip Display

Original visual effects bone whip used in the production of the 2014 Brett Ratner film Hercules. Though he is famous across the ancient world for his larger-than-life exploits, Hercules (Dwayne Johnson), the son of Zeus and a human woman, is haunted by his tragic past. Now, he fights only for gold as a traveling mercenary, accompanied by a band of loyal followers, including Amphiarus (Ian McShane) and Autolycus. However, when the benevolent ruler of Thrace and his daughter seek his help in defeating a savage warlord, Hercules must find the true hero within himself once again.

This whip was made for visual effects shots and features a bone style handle wrapped in brown leather with a long section of vertebrae protruding from the top. The handle and bone section is made of resin and there is a long section of green rope attached to the end of the vertebrae sections with red tape accents to act as VFX markers. This piece features a custom made wall display made to resemble sand with the films logo at the top and images from the film at the bottom. This piece remains in excellent, production used condition.
