A piece of the Death Star model used in George Lucas’ Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. Pieces such of this were part of a large model set which was used in the film’s epic finale as the forces of the Rebel Alliance attacked the Imperial Death Star.
Made of biscuit foam with a grey paint finish, this is a 6″ x 3″ (15 cm x 7.5 cm) piece created by ILM model makers for use in creating the large filming miniature of the Death Star surface. Many interlocking abstract pieces were made, painted and detailed to the high standard that ILM are now renowned for.
This piece comes presented on a display and remains in very good condition.
