Alien costume glove used in the production of the 1977 Steven Spielberg science fiction classic Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Science fiction adventure about a group of people who attempt to contact alien intelligence. Roy Neary (Richard Dreyfuss) witnesses an unidentified flying object, and even has a “sunburn” from its bright lights to prove it. Roy refuses to accept an explanation for what he saw and is prepared to give up his life to pursue the truth about UFOs.
This piece was used on the alien costumes as worn by child actors in the film and can be seen in the last act where the aliens are present through the large landing pad. Made of foam latex, this piece features the likeness of a small alien hand with very long fingers. This piece is mounted to a small acrylic rod that connects to a round black acrylic base for display purposes. Showing very slight wear as it has been stabilized by an industry professional, overall remains in good production used condition.
