Russell Crowe “Maximus” Hero Roman General Costume from Ridley Scott’s 2000 Oscar®-winning action epic Gladiator..

This original (6) piece Gladiator costume including (1) Cuirass constructed of cast soft polyfoam chest and back shell joined on the sides and shoulders by leather belts with metal buckles. The cuirass measures approx. 24″ x 19″ x 10″ handwritten on the interior “#1” expertly studio painted and finished to appear as hard shell, leather and metal, with signature silver wolf and griffin motif on the chest, short sleeve, thigh-length under tunic, constructed of tawny, knobby-cotton fabric retaining internal bias label handwritten “MAX under armor” pair of matching pants, leather belt and waist-cinching metal buckles, leather strapping, and retaining internal bias label handwritten “MAX 1”. Matching cape with leather belt strap to hang around wearer’s neck, and matching rigid polyurethane helmet with natural horsehair crest, wolf visor, hinged ear guards, and leather lining for comfort of wearer (made for this sequence, but production ultimately opted that Maximus not wear a helmet in final edit of the film). Full fox pelt accessory is included for display only. All pieces are expertly studio distressed to appear as well-worn period armor and costume.  With some deterioration to polyfoam cuirass but overall, in good production used condition.
