X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) – Original Adamantium Claw

Original Adamantium Claw used in the production of the 2009 Marvel superhero film X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Seeking solace from his dark past, Logan (Hugh Jackman), better known as Wolverine, seems to have found love and contentment with Kayla Silverfox (Lynn Collins). Logan’s peaceful existence is shattered when Victor Creed (Liev Schreiber), his vicious brother, brutally murders Kayla. Logan’s thirst for revenge propels him into the Weapon X program, where he undergoes a painful procedure to bond his bones with adamantium, making him virtually indestructible and more than a match for Victor.

While on set, the practical blades used by Hugh Jackman would break during fight scenes, and would be replaced accordingly for new takes. This is one of the damaged blades that was removed and replaced on set. The blade show slight damage around the edges where it would have struck things on set. The blade itself is made of resin, painted a metallic silver and is attached to a metal rod where it would be placed on the handles used by the actor. The metal rod has a small “R” written on it denoting it was used on the right hand. This piece shows wear from use in the film but remains in excellent, production used condition.
