Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (1999) – Obi-Wan Kenobi’s (Ewan McGregor) Training Lightsaber

Obi-Wan Kenobi’s (Ewan McGregor) training lightsaber from George Lucas’ Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) is a young apprentice Jedi knight under the tutelage of Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) ; Anakin Skywalker (Jake Lloyd), who will later father Luke Skywalker and become known as Darth Vader, is just a 9-year-old boy. When the Trade Federation cuts off all routes to the planet Naboo, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are assigned to settle the matter.

This lightsaber was used by McGregor during training for the film. It features a green aluminum blade, wrapped in a clear plastic sleeve and a custom made metal handle that features a smooth silver shaft with a silver metal pommel and hand guard. The handle comes apart in three pieces and features a sleeker design for the actors comfort while using and practicing fight scenes. The saber features light wear on the handle section and small dents and dings in the saber area from use. This piece remains in excellent, production used condition.
