The Chronicles of Riddick (2004) – Slam Guard Pistol

Slam Guard Pistol used in the production of the 2004 science fiction film The Chronicles of Riddick. Galactic criminal Riddick (Vin Diesel) is on the run, with bounty hunters on his tail. He receives guidance from Aereon (Judi Dench), ambassador from the Elemental race, who informs him that a warrior army known as the Necromongers is annihilating all human life in the galaxy in a bid for universal dominance. The wise Aereon urges Riddick into battle, believing he is the one man who can defeat the Necromongers and their leader, the evil Lord Marshal (Colm Feore).

This style of pistol was used by the “Slam Guards” and can most noticeably be seen when the mercenary Tombs and his crew break into the Slam prison on Crematoria. This piece features a cast resin and fiberglass shroud that opens like e clamshell and is attached to a dummy, non-fire revolver pistol underneath. The gun features a metallic silver paint scheme that has been weathered by the production to look aged and used. The trigger is spring activated and movable and the gun features a custom made black rubber grip. This piece shows slight wear from use in the film, but remains in excellent, production used condition.
