Batman vs. Superman (2016) – Batman Suit Test Emblem

Test glyph used in the production of the hit 2016 superhero ensemble film Batman vs. Superman. It’s been nearly two years since Superman’s (Henry Cavill) colossal battle with Zod (Michael Shannon) devastated the city of Metropolis. The loss of life and collateral damage left many feeling angry and helpless, including crime-fighting billionaire Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck). Convinced that Superman is now a threat to humanity, Batman embarks on a personal vendetta to end his reign on Earth, while the conniving Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) launches his own crusade against the Man of Steel.

This chest glyph was made by the production to test fabrics, colors and distressing, In this case thee bullet shot featured in the center of the emblem. This piece is made of urethane in the shape of the signature bat emblem featured in the film. The emblem is attached to a section of silkscreen cloth, dark grey in color with black accents. The emblem features a hole in the middle to simulate a bullet hit with adhesive residue on thee backing where a squib was attached. This piece shows signs of wear but remains in excellent, production used condition.
