Flash Gordon (1980) Hawkman Miniature

A large scale miniature Hawkman from Mike Hodges’ 1980 fantasy adventure Flash Gordon. The Hawkmen are seen throughout the movie and when in flight the production used a mixture of real actors and miniatures.

This large miniature is complete with fixed costume and sandals. It lack’s it’s wings but the fixing points for these are still present on it’s back. The body is constructed of a hard dense rubber like material with internal metal armature. This very rare prop exhibits some signs of general age and wear, in particular to the hands but overall in good condition and measuring 43.3″ x 11″ (110 cm x 28 cm).
