Signs Merrill Hess’ (Joaquin Phoenix) “Swing Away” Baseball Bat

A hero baseball bat used in the M. Night Shyamalan sci-fi thriller Signs. This bat was used in the climatic final scenes of the movie when the late Colleen Hess’ (Patricia Kalember) final words become clear, telling Merrill to “swing away” at the invading Aliens. This is a hero version of the bat used, as some others were made of foam rubber. A ‘Powerized 128 Louisville Slugger’ that has been heat stamped with the company logo and Merrill Hess’ name at the top, with distinctive wood graining standing out along the length. In an excellent production-used condition with a few small marks and the bat measures 34.25” (87cm) in length. Mounted on a custom acrylic display.
