An original shard of kryptonite crystal used in the 2006 superhero movie Superman Returns. During the film Lex Luthor (Kevin Spacey) reveals his grand scheme: using one of the stolen Kryptonian crystals to grow a new landmass. Superman (Brandon Routh) discovers this landmass is filled with kryptonite, which allows Luthor and his henchmen to beat and torture him. Shards such as this can be seen scattered across this landmass. This shard of Kryptonite is made from a light-weight rubber and measures 3″ (7.6cm) in length. Also included is a battery operated stand that emits light through the piece, and is activated on the bottom of the base.
