‘The Mexican’ hero pistol from Gore Verbinski’s 2001 comedy / adventure, The Mexican. In the film, Jerry Welbach (Brad Pitt) attempts to smuggle an ancient cursed pistol known as ‘the Mexican’ as a debt to a crime boss (Gene Hackman).
This pistol was custom made and crafted especially for the film in the style of a real pistol with modifications and constructed of steel and wood. An incredibly detailed gun, with a gold ring at the end of the barrel and intricate etchings that can be seen throughout the entire gun. The gun has a two-round chamber that is crafted in the shape of a heart and rotates while the hammer can be pulled back, however neither work mechanically as this isn’t a real gun but the barrel can be spun manually.
Displayed with a custom-fabricated acrylic display case that comes complete with a wall mounting bracket. The gun shows some wear due to production use and storage and is missing the trigger to the pistol, however it remains in otherwise good used condition.
This item comes with a Hero Prop Certificate of Authenticity.
