The Shallows – Nancy’s (Blake Lively) Hero Surfboard

Original surfboard used by the character of Nancy, actress Blake Lively in the production of the 2016 survival horror film The Shallows. Still reeling from the loss of her mother, medical student Nancy Adams (Blake Lively) travels to a secluded beach for some much-needed solace. Despite the danger of surfing alone, Nancy decides to soak up the sun and hit the waves. Suddenly, a great white shark attacks, forcing her to swim to a giant rock for safety. Left injured and stranded 200 yards from shore, the frightened young woman must fight for her life as the deadly predator circles her in its feeding ground.

This hero surfboard as used by Nancy (Blake Lively) is an original signature custom designed JR brand “Boxtsa” short board boasting JR boards unique Tri-Flex construction in which a carbon fiber rod, acting as a stringer, is inlayed along an EPS foam deck providing incredible strength. Parabolic carbon rods are then inlayed around the EPS foam’s bottom rails providing a unique combination of twist and flex. The boards is then glassed slightly heavier to compensate for the blank’s incredible lightness. With 3-custom green FCS brand “Carver” tail fins and remnants of ankle leash still attached to board..This piece measures around 5 feet tall and remains in excellent, production used condition.
