Mystery Men “Sphinx’s” (Wes Studi) Costume

Sphinx’s costume as played by Wes Studi from the 1999 superhero comedy Mystery Men. Starring William H. Macy, Ben Stiller, and Hank Azaria, this film followed an oddball group of wanna-be superheros as they go head to head with the city’s most dangerous criminal, Casanova Frankenstein (Geoffrey Rush).

This costume was custom-made by the production for use by Wes Studi as “The Sphinx”. The costume consists of a jumpsuit, cape, boots, belt, wrist gauntlets, skull cap and hair piece. The skull cap has visible peeling of the vinyl from age, but overall the costume is in good production worn condition.
