The Resistance, backed by the Republic and led by General Leia Organa, opposes the First Order. Leia searches for her brother, Luke Skywalker, who is missing.
This piece was used by the production department to aid in the creation of the Chewbacca costume seen in the final film. This piece showcased the way the foam latex understructure for the character would work along with the way the hand punched hair would be applied to the costume. This piece its made of foam latex and features the face of Chewbacca, as worn by original actor Peter Mayhew, and newcomer actor Joonas Suotamo who also portrayed the character in Episode 7. Thee face features hand punched hair on one half and is painted brown and black on the other. The face sits on a foam cast of the actors face, shows slight wear, most noticeably inn the hardening of the foam latex, and remains in excellent, production used condition.
