Original Iron Man Mark 42 faceplate used fin the production of the 2013 Marvell Superhero film Iron Man 3. Plagued with worry and insomnia since saving New York from destruction, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), now, is more dependent on the suits that give him his Iron Man persona — so much so that every aspect of his life is affected, including his relationship with Pepper (Gwyneth Paltrow). After a malevolent enemy known as the Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) reduces his personal world to rubble, Tony must rely solely on instinct and ingenuity to avenge his losses and protect the people he loves.
This piece was used one the full sized Mark 42 Iron Man armor featured tin the film, which was the main armor used by Tony Stark, actor Robert Downey Jr. This piece is made of resin and fiberglass and features distinctive cast in line details around the edge of the faceplate. The piece is painted gold and also features rectangular magnets on the back where it would attach to the main helmet. The faceplate features aa small section of beige felt on the inside where the actors nose would touch it. This item has small scratches and scrapes from filming, but remains in excellent, production used condition.
