Elysium (2013) – Elysium “Oesse” Data Port Device

Original data port and communications device used in the production of the 2013 science fiction film Elysium. In the year 2154, humanity survives on an overpopulated, ruined Earth as the super rich escape to a luxury space station. One man sets out to equalize the two classes, but the elite will stop at nothing to keep their privileged lives.

These dat port devices were used by the heads of the Elysium station and were worn behind the ear which allowed the user to upload information directly to their brains and acted as a communications device to the headquarters of Elysium. This piece features a vacuformed enclosure made of plastic. The enclosure features applied venial lettering reading “Oesse” and is missing the back section. There is a small electronics board located inside the comm case that is removable, and features a small button cell battery and LED light that would illuminate when activated and be seen on the front cover (electronics untested). This piece shows signs of wear such as cracking on the vacuformed pieces, but remains in excellent, production used condition.
