Harry Potter & The Philosophers Stone – Floating Great Hall Candlestick

A Candlestick prop used in the Hogwarts Great Hall in Chris Columbus’s fantasy film Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Candles of this type were suspended to create the illusion of floating throughout the Great Hall and are visible in numerous scenes.

The piece is constructed from acrylic, with clear adhesive detailing applied along the top and sides to simulate dripping wax. It is hollow in design and features a removable screw-top fitted with a small metal tip and cotton wick; the body was designed to hold oil, allowing the wick to be lit during filming. Measuring approximately 14 inches in height, the candlestick exhibits production wear, including surface scuffs and scratches, yet remains in very good overall condition.
