A miniature lifeboat used in the 1997 James Cameron Oscar winning epic Titanic. This miniature lifeboat was used for long shots of the ill-fated ship such as when leaving Southampton, dotted around the upper decks with others of this size to create this illusion.
This being one of the more detailed miniature boats with a solid cream cover and tiny ropes around the edges and on top, which has been fixed down with a black-tac. There is a rectangular hole cut into the bottom, presumably to assist in fixing it in place or perhaps a special effect seen later in the movie when the passengers desperately flee the foundering ship. Through this hole can be seen the word “Hero” scribbled in pencil. Overall in good production-used condition with several small cracks, some scuffs to the paint and to the cover, but showing great attention to detail. The ship itself measures 18” x 6.25” x 2.5” (46cm x 16cm x 6cm) and comes with a custom acrylic stand.
This item comes with a Hero Prop Certificate of Authenticity.
