A Set temple guard chest emblem used in the 1982 fantasy epic Conan the Barbarian. The emblem is made from cast durable vinyl in the shape of two snakes looping around a red, sinister all-seeing eye to face opposite directions. A horn section that would have sat at the top of the emblem is no longer present. The emblem is finished in faux-silver paint to give it a metallic finish, with the serpents’ tongues and the iris of the eye finished in red. Metal clips on the rear allow the piece to be secured to a set of temple guard armor.
In overall good condition from its time in use on the epic production, the emblem is presented in a custom framed display that measures 25.98″ x 20.08″ x 3.15″ (66cm x 51cm x 8cm) with a little chipping to corners and featuring a laser-cut mount board with the film’s title artwork, stills from the film and an opening front panel allowing direct access to the piece.
