Miniature building used in the production of the 1981 John Carpenter cult classic Escape from New York. In 1997, when the U.S. president crashes into Manhattan, now a giant maximum security prison, a convicted bank robber is sent in to rescue him.
These style of miniatures were used throughout the film, most noticeably during Snake Plissken, actor Kurt Russell’s glider navigation sequence. This miniature is made of plastic and styrene that has been intricately formed to create a four story building with green window panes and prominent red crosses and studio weathering. This item shows sign of wear from use in the film but remains in excellent, production used condition and measuring approximately 26″ x 11″ (66cm x 27.94cm).
This item comes with a Hero Prop Certificate of Authenticity.
