Gladiator II (2024) – Septimius Severus Praetorian Guard Costume

Original Praetorian Guard Costume used in the production of the 2024 Ridley Scott masterpiece Gladiator II. Years after witnessing the death of Maximus at the hands of his uncle, Lucius must enter the Colosseum after the powerful emperors of Rome conquer his home. With rage in his heart and the future of the empire at stake, he looks to the past to find the strength and honor needed to return the glory of Rome to its people.

This set consists of the upper armor and helmet of the Praetorian Guard’s who served under Septimius Severus, actor Denzel Washington throughout the film. This set features an upper armor section with a front and back chest plate and attached shoulder bell sections. The armor is made of a dense polly urethane with intricate cast in detailing. The section are held together with a series of faux brown leather ties holding the shoulder bells in place and stepping around the waist section. The costumes includes a custom made polly urethane helmet with a large purple faux hair headdress. The helmet features a removable faceplate that is held in place via Velcro straps. The armor exhibits signs of wear and production distressing and was custom made by the production. This piece remains in excellent, production used condition.
