Pixels (2015) – Hero Donkey Kong Hammer

Original Donkey Kong Hammer used in the production of the 2015 video game comedy Pixels. When aliens intercept video feeds of classic arcade games and misinterpret them as a declaration of war, they attack Earth, using the games as models. Knowing that he must employ a similar strategy, President Will Cooper (Kevin James) recruits his childhood pal, former video-game champ and home-theater installer Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), to lead a team of old-school arcade players and a military specialist (Michelle Monaghan) in an all-out battle to save the planet.

This large prop Donkey Kong hammer as used in the final battle scene in the production of Chris Columbus’ 2015 comedy Pixels. This a practical hammer that was used by Adam Sandler then later replaced by CGI to the final version seen on screen. The hammer head is made of foam-rubber and measures 21″ x 11.5″ (53.3cm x 29.2cm). The handle is made of resin and measures 34.5″ (87.6cm) in length. Exhibiting some wear, otherwise in fine screen-used condition.
