Star Wars: A New Hope (1977) – Rebel Ceremonial Tunic & Belt

A ceremonial tunic and belt from George Lucas’ sci-fi classic Star Wars: A New Hope. This tunic was worn by a member of the Rebel Alliance during the film’s closing scene in which Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) presides over an award ceremony for the heroes who destroyed the Death Star.

This Tunic is made of khaki wool serge material and is based on a military coat. The Tunic was altered for the film, and the buttons were removed. The canvas pistol belt, painted dark green is a WWII vintage and features steel fixtures and originated from costumier Bermans and Nathans along with the Tunic which exhibits the costumers tag. Lightly used, both the tunic and belt remain in good production condition.
