A special effects helmet from Matthew Vaughn’s superhero prequel X-Men: First Class. The film opens in a Nazi concentration camp during World War II. We see a young boy, Erik Lehnsherr “young Magneto” being torn from his parents. Then we see young Magneto’s power fully erupt in the office scene with this steel helmet crushed inwards around the soldiers’ heads as if squeezed by an unseen hand. The scene makes one thing instantly clear: Magneto’s powers are born from trauma, and his story begins with persecution, rage, and survival.
This special effects helmet is made of plastic with leather straps and a hose fitting in the rear where a hose was attached to suck the helmet inwards to achieve this effect.
This item comes with a Hero Prop Certificate of Authenticity
