Adriana’s Diary

Diary of Adriana Dupree (Marion Cotillard), which Gil (Owen Wilson) purchases from a street vendor. The museum guide (Carla Bruni) reads from this diary when Gil asks her to translate it from French. It’s a key piece in the film, because it contains Adriana’s admission that she dreamt of receiving a pair of earrings from Gil. The diary was purchased at a Paris flea market. (In choosing this piece, the film’s art director, Anne Seibel, was inspired by past journals in her own family.) 7½” long, 4¾” wide, 1″ deep.
