“Baby Groot” Crew Gift Statue from the production of the 2017 Marvel Studios film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Peter Quill and his fellow Guardians are hired by a powerful alien race, the Sovereign, to protect their precious batteries from invaders. When it is discovered that Rocket has stolen the items they were sent to guard, the Sovereign dispatch their armada to search for vengeance. As the Guardians try to escape, the mystery of Peter’s parentage is revealed.

These were made by the production and given out to select members of the crew as gifts during filming. This is a life-sized 1:1 version of Baby Groot from the film and was made and painted exactly as the stand-in models used in the film. This piece is cast in resin with very intricate parts such as the root design which is present on various parts of the body. The piece is expertly painted with browns and hues of black, green and other shades of brown which bring the statue to life. The piece features faux moss, vine and leaf detailing throughout. The statue is presented on a round wooden display base and measures a total of 9.5″ tall. This piece remains in excellent, production made condition.
