Preliminary storyboard used in the production of the hit Tim Burton 1989 superhero film Batman. Having witnessed his parents’ brutal murder as a child, millionaire philanthropist Bruce Wayne (Michael Keaton) fights crime in Gotham City disguised as Batman, a costumed hero who strikes fear into the hearts of villains. But when a deformed madman who calls himself “The Joker” (Jack Nicholson) seizes control of Gotham’s criminal underworld, Batman must face his most ruthless nemesis ever while protecting both his identity and his love interest, reporter Vicki Vale (Kim Basinger).
These early storyboards, or “Batboards” as they are referred to were used early on in the production process of the film. This specific piece features two boards of the Batwing gun turrets as they pop up from the body of the plane in the last act of the film where Batman is attacking The Joker in the streets of Gotham. This piece is printed in black ink on 8.5″ x 11″ white paper and has hand drawn white, blue and black ink details of the gun turret. This item is dated “1988” and remains in excellent, production used condition.
This item comes with a Hero Prop Certificate of Authenticity.
