Dark Elf Illuminating Curse Stone used in the production of the 2013 Marvel Studio sequel Thor: The Dark World. In ancient times, the gods of Asgard fought and won a war against an evil race known as the Dark Elves. The survivors were neutralized, and their ultimate weapon — the Aether — was buried in a secret location. Hundreds of years later, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) finds the Aether and becomes its host, forcing Thor (Chris Hemsworth) to bring her to Asgard before Dark Elf Malekith (Christopher Eccleston) captures her and uses the weapon to destroy the Nine Realms — including Earth.
Algrim (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) was a Dark Elf soldier, and when he was imprisoned on Asgard, he ripped the stone from his stomach and crushed it, causing it to glow red. Breaking the stone turned him into Kursed, a physically enhanced Dark Elf created from Pure Darkness. Original cast resin geometrical stone expertly painted metallic green and black with internal electronics to make the stone glow red by activating a button on the side (electronics untested). Measures approximately 3″ x 1.5″ x 1″. This piece features a crack in the side from use in the production but remains in excellent, production used condition.
