Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993) – Original Latinum Slip

Original piece of latinum used in the production of the 1993 science fiction series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. A spin-off of `Star Trek: The Next Generation’, `Deep Space Nine’ is set on a space station orbiting the planet Bajor. This time, Commander Benjamin Sisko is in charge of a diverse crew. But unlike other `Star Trek’ series, there’s no USS Enterprise to help them. Sisko and the crew must fight off rival alien species who want control of Deep Space Nine because of its strategic position close to a wormhole, which allows speedy travel to the far reaches of space.

One of the main currency used aboard Deep Space Nine, Latium was highly sought after by the Ferengi race and was featured win numerous episodes of the series. This piece is cast inn resin and rectangular in design. The slip has been painted gold and shows signs of wear from use in the series. This item measures 2.25″ x 1″ and remains in excellent, production used condition.
