Call of Duty: Black Ops III (TV Commercial) – Black Ops Helmet

Black Ops helmet used in the production of a live action video game commercial for Call of Duty. Call of Duty is a military first-person shooter video game series and media franchise published by Activision, starting in 2003. The games were first developed by Infinity Ward, then by Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games. Several spin-off and handheld games were made by other developers. The most recent, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, was released on October 25, 2024. 

This piece was created by the world famous Legacy Effects, formerly known as Stan Winston Studios for use in a live action video gamer commercial in the mid 2000’s. The helmet is made of two pieces, both created from fiberglass with resin and urethane accents. The helmet features a metal mesh visor and has LED lights present inside around the face that is activated by a small switch on the inside of the helmet (electronics untested).  The front of the mask is attached to the helmet with magnets and is removable so that the actor can wear it. This piece shows signs of wear from use in the commercial but remains in excellent, production used condition.
