The Cat In The Hat (Mike Myers) Remote Control Hat

This hat is made of wire coils that have been covered with red and white felt to match the character’s iconic look. The piece includes restored electronic components operated by a switch and controller. These pieces have been added to allow the hat to function as originally intended. The hat now runs on four AA batteries. The hat features a plastic cover on the inside with inset magnets. These magnets attach to a fiberglass skull cap that would attach to the actor’s head to secure the hat to the Cat costume. The fiberglass piece is padded on the inside to allow for a reasonable level of comfort when in use. Though light restoration has been done to allow the mechanics to function, the hat remains in great condition.
