Dune (1984) – Harkonnen Dagger

A dagger and scabbard as used in David Lynch’s sci-fi epic Dune. In the year 10191, a spice called melange is the most valuable substance known in the universe, and its only source is the desert planet Arrakis. A royal decree awards Arrakis to Duke Leto Atreides and ousts his bitter enemies, the Harkonnens. However, when the Harkonnens violently seize back their fiefdom, it is up to Paul (Kyle MacLachlan), Leto’s son, to lead the Fremen, the natives of Arrakis, in a battle for control of the planet and its spice. Based on Frank Herbert’s epic novel.

This style of dagger can be seen when the Harkonnen mentat Piter De Vries stabs the traitorous Doctor Yueh in the back. Then a Harkonnen ornithopter pilot uses it to stab his co-pilot while bringing Paul Atreides and the Lady Jessica out to the desert. This harkonnen dagger has  balsa wood blade and resin handle that have been painted to look like metal and with a leather scabbard. Overall in very good production used condition and measures approximately 11″ (27.9cm) in length.
