Ghostbusters II (1989) – Original Maquette Collection

Set of three maquette’s from Ivan Reitman’s action-comedy sequel Ghostbusters II. After saving New York City from a ghost attack, the Ghostbusters — a team of spirit exterminators — is disbanded for demolishing parts of the city during the battle. But when Ghostbuster Peter Venkman (Bill Murray) learns that spirits have taken an interest in his son, the men launch a rogue ghost-chasing mission. The quest quickly goes awry, landing them in court. But when the ghosts turn on the judge, he issues an order allowing the Ghostbusters to get back to work.

These maquettes were created by Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) as design references for the character puppets of the Scoleri brothers and Slimer, these two ghosts featured in the film court room sequence and Slimer was featured throughout the film. These are made of hard plaster and feature a grey paint scheme and the almost cartoonish appearance of the ghosts and a dark red for the character of Slimer. These maquettes each measure around 7.5″ in height and remain in excellent, production used condition.
