Iron Man 3 (2013) – Iron Legion Lighted Gauntlet

Original lighted gauntlet and glove used in the production of the third installment of the Marvel Studios film Iron Man 3. Plagued with worry and insomnia since saving New York from destruction, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), now, is more dependent on the suits that give him his Iron Man persona — so much so that every aspect of his life is affected, including his relationship with Pepper (Gwyneth Paltrow). After a malevolent enemy known as the Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) reduces his personal world to rubble, Tony must rely solely on instinct and ingenuity to avenge his losses and protect the people he loves.

The Iron Legion were heavily featured in the finale of the film where they, while controlled by Jarvis were pivotal in Tony Stark defeating Aldrich Killian. Cast foam rubber glove, studio painted blue, featuring round disc “Repulsor” palm light, retaining interior wiring and battery, measuring approximately 11 x 6.5 x 2.25 in. Included is a fiberglass bracer, expertly painted blue, silver and white, retaining internal studio markings, from mold “MK42 Arm Yoke Detail MIR, Left, R” and handwritten, “R Fore(arm)” and measuring approximately 10.5 x 6 x 5 in. This piece shows signs of wear from use in the film and remains in excellent, production made condition.
