Men In Black III (2012) – Alien Maquette

Original alien maquette used by the production of the 2012 third installment of the hit sci-fi franchise Men In Black III. Even though agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) have been protecting the Earth from alien scum for many years, J still does not know much about his gruff partner. However, J soon gets an unexpected chance to find out what makes K tick when an alien criminal called Boris the Animal (Jemaine Clement) escapes, goes back to 1969, and kills K. With the fate of the planet at stake, J goes back in time and teams up with K’s younger self (Josh Brolin) to put things right.

Maquettes like these were made to design the aliens of the film and were created by the world famous Rick Baker Studios early in the production process. This piece its made of clay around a metal understructure and features the full body likeness of an alien that was not featured in the final film. This piece shows sings of wear such as a crack in the back, and hardening of the clay from storage over thee years. The maquette is presented on a piece off white composite board, measures around 10″ tall, and remains in excellent, production used condition.
