Spawn (1997) – Spawn’s (Michael Jai White) Hero Retractable Arm Blade

Hero Retractable Arm Blade used in the production of the 1997 comic book adaptation film Spawn. Covert government assassin Al Simmons (Michael Jai White) is killed after being double-crossed by his boss, Jason Wynn (Martin Sheen). Upon arriving in Hell, Simmons is offered an opportunity to return to Earth if he’s willing to lead an evil army. He accepts, and is reincarnated as a “Hellspawn” — a twisted, horribly disfigured version of his former self. However, Spawn serves as a force of good, much to the dismay of the Devil’s henchman, a wicked clown (John Leguizamo).

As one of Spawn’s main weapons, he can be seen wielding this sword throughout thee film, most noticeably when her makes his appearance during the reception sequence where he kills Jessica. This piece was used by the actor to make the blade appear to slide out from his arm, and features the metal blade section on a retractable track allowing it to slide back and forth. The blade of made of aluminum with intricate carved in line detailing. The blue arm cuff is made of fiberglass molded around their actors arm. This item shows slight wear from use in the film but remains in excellent, production used condition.
