Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017) – Grizzly Bomb

Original “Grizzly” bomb made for use in the eight installment of the Star Wars universe Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Luke Skywalker’s peaceful and solitary existence gets upended when he encounters Rey, a young woman who shows strong signs of the Force. Her desire to learn the ways of the Jedi forces Luke to make a decision that changes their lives forever. Meanwhile, Kylo Ren and General Hux lead the First Order in an all-out assault against Leia and the Resistance for supremacy of the galaxy.

These bombs were created by the production but not seen in the final version of the film. These “Grizzly” bombs are alternate versions of the Thermal Detonator, a small explosive device featured in the Star Wars Universe. This piece is made from injection molded plastic in a circular cone design. The device features small lights around the bottom of the base that are activated with a small switch on the bottom. These have been painted and heavily aged by the production, and remain in excellent condition.
