Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (1999) – Mos Espa Wall “Greeblie”

Original wall”greeblie” used in the production of the 1999 prequel Star Wars film Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) is a young apprentice Jedi knight under the tutelage of Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) ; Anakin Skywalker (Jake Lloyd), who will later father Luke Skywalker and become known as Darth Vader, is just a 9-year-old boy. When the Trade Federation cuts off all routes to the planet Naboo, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are assigned to settle the matter.

This piece was used as set dressing on the walls of the famous Mos Espa set and is made of plastic with attached small pieces and has been painted a tan color and aged by the production. Thee small pieces are made form leftover model kit pieces and refereed two as “Greeblies” on set. This piece shows slight wear from use in the film but remains in excellent, production used condition.
