Bolo gun used in the 2012 science fiction remake Total Recall. A factory worker, Douglas Quaid, begins to suspect that he is a spy after visiting Rekall – a company that provides its clients with implanted fake memories of a life they would like to have led – goes wrong and he finds himself on the run. This gun can be seen early on used by one of the androids, as they push it through a plate of glass and activate it, firing a “bolo” to capture Douglas Quaid, actor Colin Farrell.
The base of this gun is a stunt rubber semi-automatic hand gun that has been dressed with a custom made machined aluminum shroud with attached machined laser sight attached. The shroud and metal parts have been coated black and the gun features three movable plates, two on the side and one on the top front of the gun that are illuminated blue in the film, this piece is finished by a real red-dot laser scope. One of only two made for the production and remains in excellent, production used condition.
