Achilles’ hero sword from Wolfgang Petersen’s mythical epic Troy. While visiting Spartan King Menelaus, Trojan prince Paris falls for Menelaus’ wife, Helen and takes her back to Troy. Menelaus’ brother, King Agamemnon, having already defeated every army in Greece, uses his brother’s fury as a pretext to declare war against Troy, the last kingdom preventing his control over the Aegean Sea.
This piece is made of a dense urethane rubber with a metal armature inside for strength. This signature sword features a unique curved design with holes on each side of the corners of the grip to simulate rivets. A raised ridge runs down the centre of the blade to just above the tip, and a verdigris patina has been skillfully applied to the handle and base of the blade, to imply age and corrosion. This piece has been weathered by the proideuciton to appear aged and shows slight damage to the tip where a bend is present from use in the film. This piece measures 28″ x 3″ x 2″ and remains in excellent, production used condition.
This item comes with a Hero Prop Certificate of Authenticity.
