Original face used in the production of the 1998 Robin Williams film What Dreams May Come. After Chris Nielsen (Robin Williams) dies in a car accident, he is guided through the afterlife by his spirit guide, Albert (Cuba Gooding Jr.). His new world is beautiful and can be whatever Chris imagines. Even his children are there. But, when his wife, Annie (Annabella Sciorra), commits suicide and is sent to hell, Chris ignores Albert’s warnings and journeys there to save her. Upon arrival, Chris finds that rescuing Annie will be more difficult than he’d imagined.
While in heaven, Chris (Robin Williams) travels down to hell to find his wife, while there he is caught in a large field of faces protruding from the ground. This piece is made of foam latex and was cast from a life bust and painted a dark grey with hues of black and brown. This piece was part of the large set which featured static faces and real life actor faces, this particular face can be matched. The back of the item features a small metal hanger section. This item shows slight wear from use on set but remains in excellent, production used condition.
