Spartan helmet used in the production of the Zack Snyder epic 300. In 480 B.C. a state of war exists between Persia, led by King Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro), and Greece. At the Battle of Thermopylae, Leonidas (Gerard Butler), king of the Greek city state of Sparta, leads his badly outnumbered warriors against the massive Persian army. Though certain death awaits the Spartans, their sacrifice inspires all of Greece to unite against their common enemy.
This helmet was donated to a charity auction and has been signed on the top in silver ink by by the director Zack Snyder reading “Prepare for Glory!” This piece is cast in a dense but semi flexible urethane rubber and features a beautiful gold patina with distinctive wear making the helmet appear aged. The helmet features two section of dark brown leather on the inside face section for the comfort of the actor, and the lettering “Astinos Stage 2” written on the inside with black ink. This piece was custom made by the production and does not feature a size.
This item remains in excellent, production used condition.
