Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001) – Olivanders Wand Box

Original Olivanders Wand Box used in the production of the 2001 fantasy film Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Adaptation of the first of J.K. Rowling’s popular children’s novels about Harry Potter, a boy who learns on his eleventh birthday that he is the orphaned son of two powerful wizards and possesses unique magical powers of his own. He is summoned from his life as an unwanted child to become a student at Hogwarts, an English boarding school for wizards. There, he meets several friends who become his closest allies and help him discover the truth about his parents’ mysterious deaths.

This original wand box was used in the production of the first film and later given out by studio executives as gifts during the premier of the film at Leicester Square in 2001. This box is made of thick board with a dark green top section that its adhered permanently to the bottom of the box. There is a gold metallic “Olivanders” logo on the top of the box and two decals, one on each end of the box. This piece shows slight wear from use in the film but remains in excellent, production used condition.
