Stunt rubber bat used in the production of the 2005 Christopher Nolan superhero film Batman Begins. A young Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) travels to the Far East, where he’s trained in the martial arts by Henri Ducard (Liam Neeson), a member of the mysterious League of Shadows. When Ducard reveals the League’s true purpose — the complete destruction of Gotham City — Wayne returns to Gotham intent on cleaning up the city without resorting to murder. With the help of Alfred (Michael Caine), his loyal butler, and Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman), a tech expert at Wayne Enterprises, Batman is born.
This stunt rubber bat was used in the cave sequences where Bruce Wayne, actor Christian Bale can be seen building his “Batcave”. The bats were used along side real live bats, mainly for set dressing or where actors would come in close contact to the animals. This piece is made of a dense, urethane rubber in the shape of a sleeping, hanging bat and features a wire cast in where it would have been attached to the set. This item is painted black with hues of brown to resemble the live animal, and remains in excellent, production used condition.
This item comes with a Hero Prop Certificate of Authenticity.
