A newspaper used in the production of the Academy Award-winning 2002 musical Chicago. The headline of this newspaper can be seen as a montage shows Roxie’s rise to fame as a bloody femme fatale in the city of Chicago, with cuttings from the newspaper later used in Roxie’s scrapbook. Printed on regular newspaper stock, the front cover of the Chicago Evening Star features a small photo of Renée Zellweger in the role of Roxie Hart with the headline “Roxie Rocks Chicago”, with other stories such as “Attorney Flynn Blames Slaying on Liquor, Jazz” and “Jazz Killer Is Overnight Sensation”. Other stories are repeated to fill the pages. Over all in good production used condition.
