Gladiator II (2024) – Septimius Severus Praetorian Guard Helmet & Faceplate

Original Praetorian Guard helmet used in the production of the 2024 Ridley Scott masterpiece Gladiator II. Years after witnessing the death of Maximus at the hands of his uncle, Lucius must enter the Colosseum after the powerful emperors of Rome conquer his home. With rage in his heart and the future of the empire at stake, he looks to the past to find the strength and honor needed to return the glory of Rome to its people.

This piece consists of the main helmet and separate faceplate for the Praetorian Guard’s who served under Septimius Severus, actor Denzel Washington throughout the film. Both the helmet and faceplate are made of a very dense urethane and feature an aged silver paint scheme that has been heavily weathered by the production to appear aged. The helmet features a dark purple decorative hair section along the top and the faceplate is held in place via Velcro. This set exhibits signs of wear and production distressing and was custom made by the production. This piece remains in excellent, production used condition.
