Jumanji (1995) – Original Giant Spider

A giant spider from Joe Johnston’s adventure film Jumanji. A magical board game unleashes a world of adventure on siblings Peter (Bradley Pierce) and Judy Shepherd (Kirsten Dunst). While exploring an old mansion, the youngsters find a curious, jungle-themed game called Jumanji in the attic. When they start playing, they free Alan Parrish (Robin Williams), who’s been stuck in the game’s inner world for decades. If they win Jumanji, the kids can free Alan for good — but that means braving giant bugs, ill-mannered monkeys and even stampeding rhinos!

A group of large spiders attacked the players of the Jumanji board game in the Parrish Mansion’s attic and were eventually scared off by an earthquake caused by Sarah’s last dice roll. Custom-made for the production, the main body of the spider is made of foam urethane and the eight legs contain metal armatures. Painted in varying shades of orange and brown, the large arachnid is sculpted with highly detailed features, including an abdomen, cephalothorax, chelicera, and a pair of fangs. This piece measures 16″ x 28″ x 13″ and remains in excellent, production used condition.
