Mad Max Fury Road: Charlize Theron & Tom Hardy “Imperator Furiosa” Flare Pistol Prop

A stunt flare pistol prop used by “Imperator Furiosa” played by Charlize Theron and Max portrayed by Tom Hardy in George Miller’s action classic Mad Max: Fury Road. This flare gun was used by the main character of Furiosa and was taken from a bag of firearms belonging to Max, and can be seen throughout the film as well as promotional stills. This was used by both actors in the film. This piece was cast off a real-life Webley & Scott No. 1 MK III Flare Pistol and is made of a very dense urethane rubber.

Made of resin, gold in color with a dark brown/black handle and silver detailing with some weathering by the production to look very realistic. Stunt weapons such as this piece are commonly used when a live fire piece is not required; they are lighter and therefore easier for the actors to handle. They are also used for stunt sequences for the safety of the actors so not to injure themselves or other actors if they were holding the life fire version. With some production wear, this piece remains in overall good used condition.
